Get ready for the new school year: book your student housing now !
Your success at the Catholic University of Lille starts with a stress-free environment. And a stress-free environment means finding housing ahead of time! In Lille, the student housing market is particularly tight. To avoid a last-minute scramble in August, it’s time to get started.
All, your partner for student life, is here to help you navigate the process and ensure you find housing that meets your needs on the Vauban campus or at our off-campus locations.
Why book your student housing as early as spring?
Lille is a vibrant university town, but housing spots are limited. By submitting your housing request early:
- You have access to a wider selection of housing options (location, amenities, budget).
- You avoid the stress of last-minute searches.
- You can finalize your budget for the coming year with a clear understanding of your income and expenses.
How does the reservation process work ?
The All reservation system is designed to be simple and fair. Here are the key steps to remember:
List your preferences in order of priority
On the All reservation platform, you can select multiple types of housing. Our advice: don’t limit yourself to just one choice. You can list multiple preferences in order of preference. This increases your chances of securing a spot in one of our residences if your first choice is already full.
Documents to Provide on “D-Day”
To ensure your reservation is officially confirmed when your application is finalized, you will need to provide several supporting documents. Get them ready now so you’ll be prepared when the time comes:
For you (the tenant):
- A photocopy of your ID (front and back).
- Your proof of enrollment or pre-registration at the Catholic University of Lille. (For high school students, a screenshot of your confirmed application on ParcourSup or an acceptance email is valid.)
For your guarantor :
- A photocopy of their ID (front and back).
- Their last 3 pay stubs (or proof of income, such as a retirement pension statement).
- Their most recent tax notice.
- Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (electricity, water, or phone bill, etc.).
- Note: If you don’t have a physical guarantor, consider the VISALE or GARANTME guarantee, which is accepted by All.
- Important: The application is approved only if the entire file is complete; a bank authorization for the application fee is required, which means your application has been approved.
The little extras of life “at home”
When you choose an All residence, you’re not just renting a room. You’re joining a community dedicated to your well-being:
- Health : Access to the CPSU (Multipurpose University Health Center) for your medical appointments.
- Dining: Right next to university restaurants and cafeterias.
- Sports : a dedicated gym and common areas so you’re never alone.
- Support : Personalized and confidential support from dedicated social workers, ready to listen and help you through personal or financial difficulties.
- Social life : A unique atmosphere punctuated by events involving all the residence halls. Between prestigious galas, festivals, and themed parties, there’s no shortage of opportunities to have fun.
- Emergency needs : Responsive assistance is available for all unexpected daily issues, whether it’s technical maintenance in your housing or administrative questions.
In short: plan ahead to make the most of it!
Booking your student housing now guarantees you a smoother transition into the new school year. By getting your documents ready and prioritizing your housing preferences today, you’ll secure your place at the heart of student life at Catho.
Don’t forget, once your application is approved, you’ll be able to focus on what matters most: your end-of-year exams and the new people you’ll meet in Lille.
See you soon on campus!
