All logement manages around twenty university residences in the heart of the Vauban campus, near the Humanicité and Plaine Images campuses, and in the Lille metropolitan area. From €350 to €710 all charges included, from a room to a studio, next to the school or next to a metro: the housing options are varied and adapt to all needs and budgets.

More than just accommodation, our residences are also places to live and listen. Our ambition is to allow each student to meet the conditions favorable to the success of their studies and to get involved, at the level of their residence or their neighborhood, around unifying projects.

Our residences are located on the Vauban, Humanicité, Plaine Images campuses, in Lille and the surrounding area.

To make your search easier, select your establishment and the maximum travel time between your accommodation and your establishment. You will then be able to select your criteria: budget, bathroom, kitchen, size of the accommodation, etc.

Why choose a student residence?

Beyond housing, university residences are above all places of life, work, sharing and conviviality. The residents are all students at the Catholic University of Lille but follow varied courses and come from all over the world thanks to the many exchanges and partner universities. Administrative, coordination of residence life projects, technical and maintenance teams facilitate the daily lives of all our residents.

Living space

Each residence offers you different living spaces, you can share common rooms, work rooms, gardens... With students from your University and from various backgrounds! Depending on your desires and criteria, you have the choice between different types of rooms or studios, in residences on a more or less large scale.

Collaborative

In residence, you can get involved, at the level of your residence or your neighborhood, around unifying projects. A residence life project coordination team is there to support you and guide you in all your projects!

University residences offer independence, security and support. Many teams gravitate around the residents to support them in their daily lives, maintain their accommodation and support them when needed.

Life in University accommodation

University accommodation is so much more than just a place to rest your head at night. It is a place to work, play and live. All residents have the opportunity to get involved in the life of the residence.

Our objective is to allow every student to live in the right surroundings in order to help them succeed in their studies.

Tenant Obligations

  • Pay the rent, charges and sundry costs under the agreed terms.
  • Use the premises leased with respect for their purpose (cf. Rules of Procedure).
  • Cover financially any damage and loss occurring in the premises of which it has the use, and those it may cause to the shared areas and their equipment. 
  • Hold the status of student upon signing the rental agreement and for the current university year. In case of loss of student status during the term of this rental agreement, it may not be renewed tacitly upon expiry.
  • Take on the routine maintenance of the accommodation unit and the equipment. 
  • Not to make any transformation without the written permission of the lessor, under penalty of renovation of the premises at its cost, or early termination of the agreement.
  • Not being allowed to sublet, transfer or lend the premises, even temporarily, in whole or in part.
  • Inform the lessor immediately of any damage, deterioration or loss occurring in the premises leased.
  • Respect the Rules of Procedure of the residence.
  • Waive any recourse against the lessor in case of theft committed in the premises leased, or interruption of the water, electricity or heating service.
  • Give the lessor all keys to the premises leased upon departure, and to notify its new address.

When should I make a reservation request?

We advise you to make a reservation request as soon as possible on our website, despite your uncertainties (obtaining the school admission, etc).

Opening for the first semester: early May
Opening for the second semester: mid-October

The reservation system allows you to cancel your reservation up to 15 days before the start of the contract and receive a refund of the administration fee.

Can I book and/or complete my booking directly on site?

We have a digital reservation system.
Pre-reservations can only be made through our website.

Is a bank imprint required to reserve accommodation?

Yes, a bank imprint is required to validate your reservation request. Without it, your application will not be processed.

What is the response time?

We cannot provide a specific timeframe.
- From the beginning of June for a first-semester contract
- From the beginning of November for a second-semester contract

If accommodation is allocated, an email will be sent with the name of the residence and the type of accommodation allocated.

 

What documents are required for the rental application?

- Passport photo*
- Photocopy of both sides of your ID card or passport*.
- Proof of enrollment at the Catholic University of Lille or affiliated schools for the year of the contract*
- Visa or residence permit for international students from outside the EU.
- French home insurance

- Guarantor's document:
Individual (French administrative documents) or guarantor organization.

If an individual: (French administrative documents only):
- Photocopy of passport*.
- Proof of address less than 3 months old*.
- Documents proving income if employed (pay slips) or retired (retirement pension)*.
- All pages of the most recent tax notice (avis d’imposition)*.

If a guarantor organization (Visale or Guarantor)
- Visale certificate or Garantme certificate

* Documents requested upon reservation

Is it mandatory to have a guarantor?

Yes, it is mandatory to have a physical guarantor or a guarantee from a guarantor organization (Visale or Guarantor).

Do I need to contract a home insurance ?

Yes, it is mandatory to have home insurance in your name that covers your residence.

We take into account, where possible and subject to availability, the preferences you indicate.

If the accommodations you have selected are no longer available, we may offer you other options.

What are the criteria to receive an offer of University accommodation ?

Our accommodation is reserved as a priority for students joining an establishment of the Catholic University of Lille, the list is available in the "Our establishments" tab.

Applications are then processed according to certain criteria :
- Date of the application
- CROUS Scholarship statut 
- The academic year (1st year priority)

Is it possible to stay close from a person i know in the residence ?

Regarding the availability, you can stay close (neighboor, same floor…) from a person you know. You have to notice us by email logement@all-lacatho.fr when you apply for the room.

Is it possible to cancel the reservation ?

Regardless of the reason, it is possible to cancel the reservation request up to 15 days before the strat of the contract. 

If cancellation is requested before obtain an accomadation, the application fee will not be charged. 

If cancellation is requested after obtain an accomodation, the application fee will be fully refunded within 8 weeks. 

If cancellation is requested outside of the deadline, the application fee will not be refunded : 
- For reservation of 1st semester : before July 17th inclusive 
- For reservation of 2nd semester : before 17th december inclusive 

What is the cancellation procedure ?

Cancellation requests must be sent by email to logement@all-lacatho.fr

When do contracts begin ? 

Contracts start on August 1st or January 1st for spring semester. 

What is the duration of the rental contract ?

Our contracts are for a period of one year.

Can I terminate my rental agreement before the end date, and what is the procedure?

To terminate the rental contract, you are required to send us a notice of departure at least one month before your desired move-out date.

What is a notice of leaving ?

The notice period is the period that the tenant must respect before leaving a property and returning the keys to the owner. Our notice period is one month

The notice will take effect from the date we receive your letter (either through the online tenant portal form or by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt).
Please make sure to include  : your full name, residence name, room number, and your actual departure date.

 

Are there preferential rates for scholarship students ?  

No, the prices indicated are the same for everyone.

What is the application fee for ?

The application fee means that your application for accommodation is confirmed, and is linked to the administrative processes involved in dealing with your application :

  • Dealing with your application
  • Accommodation inventory
  • Contract
  • The welcome process at the beginning of the year

This fee is not deductible from the first rent.

What payments are expected?

Billing starts from the contract start date

Each month, you will have to pay the rent, utilities, and utilities.

When you complete your rental application and before you receive your keys, you will be asked for:
- Rent for the first month of the contract
- Monthly charges for the first month of the contract
- Monthly utilities for the first month of the contract
- Annual residence living expenses
- Security deposit (equivalent to 1 month's rent)

For the Saint Omer, Saint Luc, Denis Reille, Concordia, Saint Claude, and Piktura residences, you must plan for private electricity charges (individual meter).

For more details:

  • The security deposit will be fully refunded if you return the accommodation in the same condition as indicated on the entry inventory at the end of your lease (one month's rent without charges).
  • Flat-rate charges for water, electricity, and garbage collection fees - Excluding Saint Omer, Saint Luc, Denis Reille, Concordia, Saint Claude, and Piktura residences.
  • Monthly water charge - Only for Saint Omer, Denis Reille, Concordia and Saint Claude residences*.
  • Services include breakfast from Monday to Friday (excluding Saint Claude, Saint Augustin, and Piktura), laundry, maintenance of common areas, technical assistance, and maintenance of shared equipment.
  • Resident life expenses include costs related to activities and residence life - for example, welcome day, end-of-year gala, residence events, etc.

What are the payment methods?

- By direct debit (SEPA mandate or bank card), from the 2nd month of occupation
- By bank card: on the housing account
- By bank transfer: RIB details available on the housing account
- In cash: only via Eficash (not available for the Saint Claude residence)

Who does the cleaning?

It's your responsibility to clean your apartment. Our cleaning teams clean the common areas daily.

Who repairs breakdowns/malfunctions in the apartments?

Contact the technical support team in case of a technical problem in your apartment or the residence. These repairs are included in the monthly service charge. Please note that if technical repairs are recurring or related to improper use of equipment by the resident, the service charge may apply. In case of an emergency outside of technical support hours, an on-call service is in place.

What should I bring?

If you have a single room, upon arrival, your accommodation will be furnished with a bed (90 x 200 cm), a mattress, a box spring, a wardrobe, a desk, and a chair. You will need to bring your own pillow, sheets, and blanket. You will also have a refrigerator and a sink with a mirror, but everything else is to be provided. Kit to bring: here

If you have a studio, you will find a pillow and a blanket; you will need to bring sheets and a pillowcase. For the kitchen, you will have certain equipment such as a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, utensils (pot, pan, salad bowl), and dishes (glasses, cutlery, plates, bowls, mugs). As for the bathroom, you will have a private bathroom (with a bathtub or shower), toilet, and sink area with a mirror. Kit to bring: here


Can I add or remove furniture?

Depending on your needs and the space in your home, you can of course add furniture. You'll have to take everything back when you leave to leave the home as you originally received it. Regarding removing furniture that we provide, this is possible, but we want to inform you that we won't be able to store it for you, so you'll have to find a solution yourself.

Can I repaint or make holes in my home?

It is imperative to obtain approval from our technical department before making any changes.

Can I get my own internet plan (box or fiber)?

Yes, this is possible, but you must contact our technical department before taking any action.

At the end of your contract, an exit inventory will be required.

Your accommodation must be returned in the same condition as when you acquired it.

For your part, it is entirely possible to terminate the contract before the stated end date by sending your one-month notice. The notice period is effective from the date of receipt of the letter (form in the tenant area or registered letter).

What are the terms for returning the security deposit?

You must send your bank details to the accounting department by email at compta@all-lacatho.fr

Reimbursement will be made one month after the contract end date (subject to damage).

It is possible to renew your contract from one year to the next without terminating the rental agreement, subject to approval by the housing department.

Renewals must be completed during the month of March. 

Conditions and procedures will be sent by email.

All our accommodations are eligible for CAF housing benefits.

You must first apply for housing assistance on the CAF website.

There are 2 types of residences:

  • Accredited: Saint Luc, Piktura and Saint Omer (except 6th floor).
    Housing assistance will be paid directly to us.
  • Non-accredited (all the others): these are coded as “NON CROUS university residence”. Housing assistance will be paid directly to the tenant.

Please note, in the event of a wrong declaration, CAF will request reimbursement of the overpayment.

Please note that in case of an incorrect declaration, CAF will request repayment of any overpaid amount.

PROCEDURE for non-accredited residences

Do not hesitate to go to the website of the Caisse d’allocation familiale du Nord (CAF)

For any request or complaint relating to the payment of this assistance, please contact CAF directly, we do not intervene at any time in the payment of housing aid.

Mail

Each residence has individual mailboxes (with keys) or lockers (without keys).

Parcels

We recommend choosing the collection points located near the residences.

Is it possible to visit the residences?

It is possible to visit some residences during the Open Days (Journées Portes Ouvertes – JPO) organized by the Catholic University of Lille.

Outside of these events, visits can only be arranged from june by appointment, depending on the residence’s availability, from Monday to Friday. Please make an appointment in advance by emailing the housing service.

Is shared accomodation is possible ? 

No, all our accommodations are single occupancy.
Flat-sharing is not allowed in our residences.

Is your accommodation mixed ?

Yes, all our accommodation is mixed (floors, common areas, and sanitary facilities).

Can residents access their accommodation at all times ?

Yes, the residences are accessible 24 hours a day, there are no time constraints.

esidents can enter and leave as they please.

Are your rooms furnished ?

All our rooms are furnished. They include a bed, desk, chair, refrigerator, corner sink and wardrobe as standard. We do not provide personal linens (bath towels, bed linens ...)

Is there any residence only for medicine student ?

There is no residence only for medicine student.

Can I host a friend or pet?

You can, of course, invite a loved one to stay overnight. To do so, you can request an extra bed (with linens provided). However, we do not allow pets in the residences.

Can I request a change of accommodation if it doesn't suit me?

You can request a change of accommodation during the year on your housing account
